Ireland's Greatest Living Genius - Fiachra MacFiach - was set fair to seek nominations for the 2009 Oxford Professorship of Poetry. Sadly he never made it.
The reason? Scurrilous and unsubstantiated rumours involving a Christian Brothers' school and several small boys.
